Hawaii

Ahhhhhh, Hawaii. Land of beautiful beaches, the NFL Pro Bowl for many years, the setting for one of the most absurd Saved By the Bell episodes (the one where Kelly's grandfather runs "The Hideaway" and Mr. Belding shows up with his principals group for some unknown reason. (Unfortunately, this movie is not streaming on netflix.)

Hawaii is in the Pacific Ocean, according to my son and the fact they have islands is the "coolest thing" about the state. He said he doesn't want to go to Hawaii because the island pictured above is too small for us to balance on. I get the feeling he'll one day feel the call of wanting to go.

(I asked my son what an Island was he said "an island is surrounded by  water.... or mud" because apparently when we went to Skidaway Island, Ga. he saw some mud around it.)

Twenty-one states down, 29 to go.
